What this site knows about you

Very little, and none of it by choice. There is no account, no form, no mailing list and no advertising network here. This page says what does happen, in the order it happens.

Brow & Jaw has no accounts, no comment section, no form of any kind and no mailing list. There is nowhere on this site to type your name, your email address or anything about your health, which is the most reliable privacy measure available to a site about a medical subject.

Cookies

Reading these pages sets nothing on your device from us. There is no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, no social widget and no consent banner, because with nothing to consent to a banner would be theatre.

Server logs

The machine serving these pages keeps ordinary web-server records of requests — the page asked for, the time, the browser's description of itself and the network address it came from. That is how any web server works, it is what tells us a page is broken, and it is not joined up with anything else or sold to anybody.

One link on this site goes to a shop through an affiliate programme, and it is marked as paid where it appears. Following it hands you over to that company and to whatever tracking their programme uses to work out that you arrived from here. From that click onward you are reading their privacy policy, not this one, and we have no visibility into what you do there beyond eventually being told that somebody bought something.

The disclosure page says which link that is and why it is the only one.

Health information

This site never asks for any and could not store it if you offered. Nothing you read here is recorded against you, there is no profile of your interests, and no page you open is used to decide what any other page shows you — every visitor sees identical pages.

Children

This site is written for adults. It is not aimed at children, it collects nothing from anyone, and several of the products it discusses carry labels saying plainly that they are not for anyone under eighteen.

Changes

If any of the above stops being true — a measurement tool is added, say — this page is rewritten before the change is made rather than after, and the revision date at the top moves with it.
